Founded in 2009, Sustainable Design, LLC is a fully licensed, professionally insured Vermont-based architectural firm. As members of the AIA and NCARB and Passive House certified, we are dedicated to excellence in both design and sustainability.

We provide complete architectural and interior design services with a strong emphasis on building science and natural materials. Our expertise includes net-zero building design, passive solar and cooling strategies, deep energy retrofits, and renewable energy systems such as ground and air-sourced heat pumps.

As a husband-and-wife team, we bring together a shared passion for architecture and sustainability to design homes and spaces that are as beautiful as they are energy-efficient. Each project is tailored to its setting, thoughtfully incorporating the surrounding landscape. Our designs balance form and function to create spaces that reflect our clients’ unique lifestyles and meet modern standards of comfort and performance.
